The house and its ancillaries and the landscape are amidst an existing mango plantation and design around the existing trees and vistas towards the Ransai lake, the Sahyadri mountains and forests around. The built and the unbuilt together create a tropical landscape reinterpreting tradition spatial typologies: courtyard, verandas , water bodies. green roofs- creating a unique dialogue of the mineral and vegetal materials. The landscape includes various outdoor spaces and  productive plantation of fruits, flowers, vegetables and herbs.
The architectural planning and construction details use simple passive design measures to enhance natural ventilation: courtyards, variable heights for Venturi effect, cavity walls and insulated roofs for reduced radiation gain. Recycled timber is used for all doors windows and roof frames.
