Master plan for a campus for healthsciences to be developed in phases over 5 to 10 years. Project aimed at providing training and employment prospects for nursing and medical technician to start with and eventually moving on to medical college and hospital.
The built programs includes students housing, residential quarters for different categories of staff and all supporting and ancillary provisions as defined by the various higher education governing bodies.
The design focused on creating a campus that could set a bencmark for contextual responsive design in the outskirts of the growing town of Parner. The masterplan negotaites the natural gradient while appropriately providing for the various program elements.
The architecture of the Educational and Students housing and Staff residences follow principles of passive solar design- daylighting, enhance natural ventilation, and strategic sun-shading. Planning and finishes are driven by cost optimisation keeping the lifecycle cost perspective.
The built and the unbuilt complement each other to create a vibrant academic community.
